MATCH THE FAN TO YOUR DAY
Start with SD03
For a lightweight handheld fan on trains, errands and trips, SD03 weighs 135g—41g less than SD01—and costs $10 less. Its LED display shows battery status and fan speed.
Choose SD01 instead if its larger battery and published 6–20-hour runtime range matter more than saving weight.
See SD03 for travelStart with SD01 for angle adjustment
A foldable handheld fan can double as personal desk cooling. SD01 specifies a 90° folding head, useful when you want to position the airflow while working.
Both support desktop use. Choose SD03 if five speed settings and a battery-and-speed display are more useful to you. There is no matched test showing which is quieter.
See SD01 for desk useConsider SD01, with a charging margin
SD01 has a 4,900mAh battery and lists 6–20 hours of runtime. SD03 has 2,600mAh and lists up to 18 hours at its lowest speed.
These are not equal-airflow tests. Neither maximum is a promise of all-day high-speed cooling. For sustained use, plan around your speed setting and access to charging.
Understand fan battery lifeTHE BUYING DECISION
CHOOSE WINDMINI SD01
The larger battery, published runtime range and specified 90° head adjustment make SD01 worth considering if your fan often moves from your bag to your desk.
The trade-off: It costs $10 more and weighs 41g more. A larger battery does not establish longer runtime at the same airflow.

If you want everyday personal cooling with five speed settings, SD03 is the lower-cost starting point. Choose this mini fan with LED display when visible battery and speed information matter to you.
The trade-off: Its up-to-18-hour figure is for low speed. The product page does not publish full-charge time or high-speed runtime.

A focused comparison of two Windmini models to help you choose.
For most daily commutes, start with SD03: at 135g it is 41g lighter than SD01, costs $10 less, charges by USB-C and shows battery level and fan speed on its display. Choose SD01 when its larger 4,900mAh battery matters more than carrying the lightest option.
Choose a handheld fan when you want to aim the airflow directly and occasionally set the fan on a desk. A neck fan keeps both hands free while walking or holding a rail, but it is worn around the neck and may feel bulkier. SD01 and SD03 are handheld models that also support desktop use.
SD03 is the easier carry of these two at 117 × 45 × 32mm and 135g. SD01 is listed at 156 × 38mm and 176g. Measure the pocket or compartment you plan to use because a fan that fits a work tote may not fit a small crossbody bag.
Neither product page publishes a verified highest-speed runtime. SD01 lists 6–20 hours, while SD03 lists up to 18 hours at its lowest speed. Expect higher fan speeds to use the battery faster, and do not treat the maximum advertised runtime as high-speed runtime.
Higher airflow can produce more wind and motor noise, but these two fans do not have a matched noise test. SD01 publishes a figure below 65dB. SD03 makes a low-noise claim without a dB figure, so its five speed settings do not prove it is quieter than SD01.
Yes. Both Windmini product pages describe handheld and desktop use. SD01 explicitly lists a 90° foldable head, giving you a clear way to aim personal airflow while the fan is standing on a desk.
For U.S. travel, portable electronic devices with lithium-ion batteries of 100Wh or less are generally allowed. The FAA recommends carrying battery-powered devices in carry-on baggage; checked devices must be completely powered off and protected from accidental activation. Confirm the battery label and your airline’s rules before flying.
A battery around 5,000mAh can provide a useful capacity margin for longer outings. SD01 is close at 4,900mAh, compared with 2,600mAh for SD03. Battery capacity alone does not determine runtime: motor power, airflow and speed setting also affect how long a fan lasts.
